Capt. Georg Martens aka Deutscher (flyafrica) RIP

Dont really know where to put this, Came home this morning, opened my work email to receive the sad news that Georg Martens has passed away after a battle with cancer. Although he did not post here, he was active on flyafrica. so if anyone here has connection on that side maybe pass the news on :(

"Captain Martens joined Qatar Airways in 2007 and though his career has been cut short, he will always be remembered for being honest and fair and a thorough gentleman. Captain Martens was a well-known figure amongst us and he was well liked by all his colleagues and peers. He performed all his duties with the utmost professionalism and will be missed tremendously.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult period of mourning."
