CAREFUL - MALWARE ATTACK

#1

Post by Gooneybird » Thu Mar 10, 2016 6:14 pm

WARNING -

Last Friday I fell "victim to a SERIOUS malware attack which ALL but destroyed my PC and ALL my doc's (files).

I received a very "gallant" apology for the delay in receiving My package (??) Attached please find the rectified invoice and also the tracking number thereof.

After clicking on Invoice ......with NO Result ....I deleted the doc.

CHEERS PC...(ta ta...It was nice knowing you) :yikes: :gooneybird: :green:

The sender's address was from a postal delivery coy in the Netherlands.

EVERY doc saved on my PC was encrypted and when I tried to open one ......it "opened a NOTICE with an very elaborate explanation of my predicament and instructions to be ready to pay USD 500 value in BITCOIN .

The whole www. must have heard my response..........needless to say the problem was permanent !!!!

At least it did not affect my access to I/net and after I Googled the "scenario" and found a Malware CLEAN UP solution called SpyHunter4 - a whole week later - I'm back in business again....BUT minus ALL my doc's & info

Pissed-off Charlie forsure !!!!!!

BE CAREFUL OUT THERE

Gooney

Have a colleague here in Edenvale who got nailed 2 days ago. Most frustrating. Sent off to the IT Geeks for repair.
