I flew with them last month from Tel Aviv to Istanbul, morning flight. For breakfast they gave us 1 roll and the tray had a tiny selection of gouda cheese and some turkey breast slices, that was breakfast. That night I flew with them from Istanbul to Joburg. On the dinner tray there was a starter, which was.....my breakfast from that morning. Same little portion, same little tub....so ja excellent food on Turkish :puke:

I flew with them a couple of times in the past months. Every time they stuffed me like an underweight Christmas turkey.

I have yet to come across an airline meal worth mentioning.

Then I would suggest a First Class flight on Asiana. That food is out of this world.

I flew on Turkish a couple of times and I must say, Dont think they have the best food.
So far the best food I have ever had was on Vigin Upper class. But I was with my Wife and was very drunk!! so they could have given us cat food and I would have liked it.

Let me do my ranking then in the following order - without being drunk (longhaul only):

First: OZ, EK, LX, SQ, TG, SA (when they still had F), BA, QF, LH
Business: OS, OZ, QR, TK and by a big margin SQ, TG, LX, and by another even bigger margin LH, SA (SAA's C food on longhaul is an absolute disaster, OS in Y is better).
Economy: EK is about the only one mentioning, the rest couldn't even supply their stuff to the SPCA.

In general food catered out of JNB is way below the quality catered elsewhere with the exception of QR.

The only way to survive a flight with the Mrs. I'll prefer the royal way - we never fly together....

The most 'pukish' food I ever came across was breakfast served on a. Virgin flight from Heathrow to Jnb.....
Then that 'ingredient/oil the Far Eastern countries use in their food also made my tummy travelling to my throat......ugh!!! : :green:

Well believe it or not, best food I've had so far out of JNB is with Air Zimbabwe. Steaks are excellent, so good I always ask for left over meals

Even the meals out of HRE are nice. They have a good breakfast and fresh sandwiches. I really think Air Zimbabwe has good food, something that SAX can learn from on their regional flights.
