My good friend, fellow pilot and resident of Pemba, Mozambique needs our help. Jamie Wilson is a Professional Hunter, owner and pilot of a Piper Chieftan, and has contracted a terrible form of cancer.
He has been on one trip to India to have laser surgery, but the cancer has spread.
Please have a look at the following and, of possible, donate via one of the following methods:
A new liver means new life for Jamie
Jamie (49) has a hereditary disease called Hemochromatosis. Because of the iron overload it causes, cancer has developed on his liver. The cancer is progressing rapidly and his condition is worsening. A liver transplant is for him the only option to survive; without it his life expectancy is only 6 months.
There is a doctor in India who specializes in ‘living donor’ liver transplants (http://www.livertransplantindia.com). He has performed more than 3,000 transplants successfully. Jamie will be heading there soon, obviously.
He has found a family member, willing to donate part of his liver.
This part will be implanted in Jamie (his own liver will be removed entirely).
Both operations are costly: in total we will have to come up with about € 60.000,- Through donations of friends, family and acquaintances we hope to raise this amount.
We grant Jamie, Eveline and his kids a much longer life together!
If you also want to help, please donate. Every contribution is welcome.
