I imagine this model could work well in the tourist charter market in places with interesting underwater life. Wonder how it handles rough seas though.

Hmmm - the round shape is only beaten by a square box in aerodynamic inefficiency - and the shower below the waterline will involve pumps to get rid of the waste, whereas if it was above, gravity would do the job. One more thing to break.

If one helms this vessel from below, how does one avoid obstacles on the surface? And vice-versa?

Like their oddly-shaped boat project, they are solving problems that do not exist - boats, and even submarines have been around for ages, and the technology and design are well-proven. Why fix what ain't broke? :gooneybird:
