Microsoft Windows 10 has been out for just about a year now. I have been using this new version since it was launched, having upgraded from Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. To date on business applications and games I have had no problems and have found it to be a stable platform to use as an operating system. My own preference has always been using Windows as an operating system on an Intel based architecture, so I use an Intel i7 CPU on an Intel DP67BG motherboard.

I have just read that Microsoft is going to release the first major upgrade to Windows 10. This release has been scheduled for 2 August 2016, but I have not had any indication of the size of the download. Due to some negative reports on the manner that Microsoft unloaded Windows 10 on 200 million users, they have said that a more user friendly strategy for deployment will be used this time.

I will wait with baited breath.

:2cents:

My son recently built up a new computer for his business. He purchased a Windows 10 operating system and we were both surprised to see that it comes on a small memory stick. After assembly of the computer components, pop the Win 10 stick into a USB slot and away you go.

From early builds I did on DOS-5 with a packet of floppy disks to Win 10 on a memory stick is sure an advancement in computer history.
