It is More' from me as I'm on the Bidair freighter...haven't done it for a while but forgot how much fun it actually is flying freight :yeeha:

Pic of our place in 87J's hood....it really is heaven on earth out here, love it. Two more shifts of nighfighting and then it will be time for a weekend of wine and to replenish the stock for home  :scratchhead:

The welcome Cape Winter Rain seemed to have arrived...! Nice challenging approach with rain and fog this morning but even a more difficult drive home. I'm sure all the capetonians welcome the wet weather. Hmm that cab sav will be needed to stay warm this weekend :scratchhead:

I'm off for a few hours

Have a good day gentleman

Indeed, looking at the forecast a cold beer doesn't look very attractive :carton:

I would be happy to see that everyone in the Cape went "dry" for a month if it ensured that the dams filled up to over 50%

Morning All,

Well, that was a weekend of note. The rain and freezing weather in Gauteng was ridiculous :crazy1: :crazy1:

Been bucketing down in Durban since Thursday afternoon. At times really hard downpours that have caused havoc on the roads. Today they report a mudslide between Anstys Beach and Brighton Beach on the only road connecting the two. The Bluff Country Club golf course is flooded to the extent that it now looks like a dam. And the rain continues to fall.

In a few hours we will be all packed for a mid-week break in the central Berg. We may be jumping out of the fat in the pan into the fire as reports of extreme cold and snow falling have been reported. One thing about living on the coast in Durban is you just don't have any "cold" cloths. Nothing I suppose that a good book, a blanket and a bottle of something will fix.

So if you don't hear from me this week it is because I am still reading the book and have not got to the end of the bottle.

With rain gone it's time to fix the roof leaks and start with maintenance for next summer. Can't do much as I'm on home reserve and they did call out Boepie already for a FlySafair flight to CPT and back. Hope they don't bother me while I'm up on the roof.

The days in the Berg were brilliant. No clouds, no wind just a nip in the air in the late afternoon. I expected much colder weather.

Durban today is again one of those lazy days. No wind, no clouds and no sign of winter that grips other parts of SA. What a pleasure not having to sleep under blankets and duvets.
