Check out this link on AvCom. Someone has put a 1 minute clip together of screen grabs for a 12 hour period. The activity is really cool to see:

Nice one. You can see the afternoon cumulus moving from west to east.

At last the summer rains have arrived in Jo'burg. Bucketted down here last night and that damn thunder scared the crap out of the cats. Looking good for another soaking today:

My daughter has just messaged us to say hail in Centurian. Durban still being deluged by the heavy rain.

How many of you get the following as shown below in the screen grab? It seems to happen that one of the webcam images doesn't load due to slow or poor interweb connectivity?

Was thinking that maybe we could put a cool helicopter picture in the background to display if the webcam doen't load. Would keep the pictures rotating. Any thoughts if that would be acceptable?

It happens from time to time, but no big deal. Look in the other thread you started, HS posted a B407 beauty...

You only have to wait 20 seconds for the full picture. For me personally it is something I could accept. I do notice it only on the left hand picture.

Every now and then I get the same thing, although it doesn't show the green screen with the Henley logo, I just get a blank screen with a question mark in it. Like Propnut says, it refreshes within 20 seconds and then I get the both screens again, so no big deal for me. I see you can refresh the cam yourself with one of the function keys (F5?), how would you do that with a Mac?

Tnx Muntu. There is a latest version of the webcam for download on the site.

Not sure about Mac refresh as I do not want to Cross Over To The Other Side -:)

Damn computer and network stuff is always sent to test us. Not sure why the downtime with the HenleyCam over the past couple of days. Checked out the IP cameras and they were working fine. Checked out the network and it was working fine. Woke up this morning and hey presto the cameras were working again. Hopefully all will be stable again.
