Spent a little time at the V&A Waterfront helipad yesterday, here 13 of the 14 helicopters I saw on the ground :cool1:

Two more of FMs chopper have been painted in the red/white Sporthelicopter colours since my last visit, ZS-HGD Robinson R44 and ZS-RWF Bell 206L LongRanger :Like:

Sportshelicopters also have had their logo redesigned as seen here on ZS-HKT Bell 206L LongRanger, still needs the colours though :fingerroll:

Realy sharp picture GD. What camera you using again?

Like the pano shot as it gives a good idea of the size of the place. Really do like the Sportheli colour scheme. That dark maroon looks very smart :champion: :champion:

All these are with an 7D and the 100-400 Canon lens. I just need better editing skills/software/screen to get colours/contrast right

ZT-RGG Bell 206B JetRanger III was imported from the UK half a year ago (and has full ADS-B, so tracking on FR24 :cool2: )

FMs Huey stayed on the ground while I was there

Not included in the 14 choppers seen at the Waterfront was 192 Lynx Mk64 of the SA Navy above Table Bay, too far for photo, but I will add anyway. Also one of the Turbo Daks of 35Sqr was seen flying, so don't believe everything you read in the news. #FakeNews :haha:

Catch of the day was three Bölkow 105s of ACEexpedition/South Georgia Heritage Trust packed up at Jetty 2. Unfortunately only a habour security guard around, and didn't bother asking him access. Here G-WAAS and most of G-TVAM. G-BATC was parked further behind. More pics can be found on the ACEexpedition FB site.

These two Marshall Islands registered expedition yachts, Enigma XK on the left and Danah Explorer on the right, were parked next to the Bo-105s. Both have helidecks, but with no hangars I was wondering where they were keeping three choppers  Mystery was solved when the ACEexpedition FB site showed they were all base on Russian reseach ship Akademik Tryoshnikov, but that had already left for Bremerhaven a couple days earlier.

Nice to see the 105's around. Must be returning following their Antarctic expedition this summer. Winter returning so hard to fly in those conditions.
