Seen at FALA (Lanseria)

I believe there is still no topic from my favorite airport

Went to have a quick look at this Airbus Airbus Corporate Jet with half the South African Police this morning. Not sure who was on board but they took good care of him.

GD, as Site Admin please accept our sincerest apologies in this regard. And you are most humbly thanked for creating said topic :thanx:

Like the pictures you posted. Have seen the A2-CEL hex code on FR24 for a while now but haven't seen any pictures of the aircraft :good:

Thanks, it is the 10-18 Canon lens, a fairly inexpensive piece of kit compared with most other lenses. Was struggling a little with sharpness/auto focus outside but it might have to do with the very harsh 12 o'clock light.

Pics like the below inside packed hangars I have never been able to make before. A whole new world for me, can't wait for my next museum visit.

Three brand new Cessna 208B Caravan EXs at Comair (or actually Absolute I guess).

GD, do you do any post processing sharpening? The wide angle lens will always have some sharpness problems but that can be compensated for.

Those in-hanger shots are really cool indeed. As you say, a whole new world has opened up. Also will make cabin and cockpit shots more interesting - you see, more work for you.

I believe SKY in that crappy brown scheme was in fact flying for Mack Air in Botswana at some stage?

I do a little Unsharpening mask on PS, but try not to over do it. Yep also cockpit shots should improve a whole lot.

Thanks fur the updates GD. Who would have thought that a new lens would have such a profound effect on the scope of photography that you now have access too.

Visit to Lanseria today to see a couple needed Global Express' (N600JV and XA-AYL) both parked at ExecuJet so no pics :stupid4:

A was lucky though, saw (and heard) the departure of two classic Gulfstreams within a couple minutes :cool2:

First ZS-DJA Gulfstream IIB for a testflight (going to Switzerland for some TLC tomorrow)

As mentioned another visit to Lanseria yesterday, not much but my visitor was very happy. A little news though, Lanseria Jet Center is busy setting up a FBO under the Signature brand, should be interesting. A2-WIN BeechJet 400 will apparently become ZS- registered and Lanseria based in the near future.

Was awesome to hear the sound of those Rolls Royce Darts again - D2-ESN Fokker F-27-500RF SJL Aeronautica - ex Rand I believe

Nigeria based N2237X Falcon 7X - registered to same company as the former N357TE Legacy and that was Abdul Samad Rabiu's, so presume the 7X is also his?

Harare based N410DM of tobacco giant Alliance One International

A very cool pressurized Cessna Centurion with a 450HP Allison turbine up front! - N6593W Cessna P210N
This did a round the world flight in 2013 and a Germany to Cape Town in 2015 - Guess it is now making its way home?

Sjoe GD, a 55 year old C172. Wow indeed :champion: :champion:

Is that a wheel clamp on the nose wheel of N410DM?

Not sure where D2-ESN is operating from as such. Been in and out of FAGM and FALA for the past week or so
