Great stuff :thumbsup1:

Should also be some Army National Guard Chinnoks, Black Hawks and Lakotas (EC.145s) based at Cecil Field, besides Coast Guard Dauphins.

Years ago when it was a proper Naval Air Station there were F-4 Phantoms, A-4 Skyhawks, A-7 Corsairs, F-18 Hornet etc. etc.

We are supposed to be doing a test flight at Cecil tomorrow (Thursday) XT-BFA or BFA99, anytime from 9am local (GMT - 4) but it may be later of course.

Time is flying, some two weeks ago I drove to Vanderbijlpark to pick-up an out of print book that I had located after trying to get hold of it for more than a year.

Not a place a come very often (actually the first time by car) so planed to visit a couple 'preserved' aircraft en-route.

First up was ex#308 SA.341F Super Frelon of the SAAF, now on display at the Oudewerf Auctioneers in Meyerton. Could use a little TLC but at least in one piece.

A little further up the R59 this 737-200 nose section is hanging on the wall of the Nature's Choice HQ. Believed to be former Nationwide ZS-OVG.

GD, I didn't even know that there was a Super F in the vicinity of Vanderbijlpark. I will make a plan to visit.

The B727 wall mount is very familiar to me as I always pass that way when routing to site at Vereeniging for work :goodpost:

I thought the Nature's Choice plane was a 707. One of the workers there told me that the inside section is their boardroom. Would be interesting to find out for sure.

Here the evidence suggesting ZS-OVG. The 707s at Polokwane were broken up after the nose appeared on the wall at Nature's Choice.

Had to pick up some books in Ruimsig today so decided to go see the preserved Impala at MOTH Caprivi between Krugersdorp and Randfontein.
