Today at midday the light was a bit harsh despite it being winter.

Anyway needed to see the new Piper M600 as sales guys at Piper call it. Not much difference to older Meridians on the outside but it got an extra 100hp under the hood.

For what it's worth, the M600 is very different to a Meridien or M500... Different wing for a start and loads of other goodies, never mind that magnificent 5-bladed prop!

For what it's worth, I'm a big fan of the Piper M-Series! Solidly on my dreamboard!

Thanks for the welcome message B407 an 87J. It took me a long time to discover this forum (us old toppies are not that good with all this IT stuff :sunglasses: ), i'll try to post regularly.

Here's a pic of an aircraft type that we don't see often anymore, Embraer EMB-110 Bandeirante ZS-CSI.

I have to ask if the Great Dane has that one ticked off on his Too Do list

Them old Bandits worked very hard in their day, I believe they're still solid workhorses in South America.

Ticked off on the daily newspaper flight from Aalborg to Copenhagen with ScanCon Airways some 20 years ago.
They did take pax trying to make a little ekstra on top of newspapers and parcels, but I was the only one I that day

We bow down to your greatness Great Dane :fantastic:

Photon, that paint scheme also looks fantastic on ZOR. Something different at least from plain white with a couple of stripes :good:

Thanks Michael and Raffles , the folks on this forum seem to be more relaxed and fun loving than on Avcom. I like that.

Today was a good day for me at Lanseria.

After an absence of more than 3 years ZS-ZOB was getting readied for a test flight. If all works our well she will be based again at Lanseria for contract work into Africa.

Here are a few pics of Swearingen SA-226AT Merlin ZS-ZOB taking off on a test flight today.

Yip, laid back and relaxed we are here and when the members do have something to share it's always great reading, especially when a Trip Report is posted (nudge nudge wink wink).

I must admit, when you look at ZOB side-on, it looks to me like the tail section aft of the wings is just a bit too long. But lovely to see an "Oldish Lady" back at FALA. Thanks for the pics.
