Seen on Google Earth

Well, something different I suppose. Always enjoy looking at GE and what it captures. The replay function is really cool as well :good:

Anyway, to start off with I found this today, B733/4/5 very short finals for 03R.

And then by looking very closely I found this one. A B190 or King Air on left base perhaps?

Your comments on the second one has got me thinking. Seems a bit low to be on base and re type - no aft mini horizontal stabilons so can't be B1900, and wing profile seems wrong for King Air 350. If I am wrong then which is it?

That last one looks like it's mounted on a pole!

I was right - 3D - JGL in a kiddies playground.

There's a Metro parked in a kiddie play area around the corner of my house (Swazi reg). It shows up in Google satellite but not on street view (James Road, Rynfield Benoni).

Cos the street view pic is dated 2009, and the 'plane was only placed on the 7th of March 2013.
(Amazing what you can pick up on Google Earth)

From GE pics it seems it arrived first half 2013, that fits more or less with when 3D-SEA disappeared from the Lanseria dump (presumed broken up, but probably not then). Expect a suspicious looking Landy cruising up and down your road sometime next week to confirm
