It is good to read about something on the other side of the world like this. The small sparks (flint in my head almost gone) are enough to picture what we have in our country, against what is on offer elsewhere.

Boeing will have to change the computer voice calling out the landing altitude to the runway.

If my assumption is on the right track, the folding winglets will be used in dense air conditions at lower altitudes and then deployed to the folded out position for high attitude flights.

Just back from the surgeon who removed all remaining stitches and cleaned up the toe stub. he is very happy with the outcome, so am I. Looking down my leg now the first thing that comes to mind is the "missing man formation". Now for the next few days I must keep it open to assist the healing proces...

Big thing for me from that article is the dramatic reduction on cost per F-35 being produced, since they first announced the type all that time ago.
