The captain side no. 2 window, the one that opens, was also broken. I'm just wondering if it has been fixed. I'm loath to go to the plane when I'm...

A thoroughly investigated accident and professionally drafted report.
That should improve safety in Nigeria henceforth.

Re: Seen in The Cockpit

How do you loose a torque link pin????? We think that the FBO in Paris didn't put the safety pin in correctly after towing us out. It wasn't actually lost, it came out during the landing. It also seems to me that the sliding bit is worn. I will post a photo when I go to the plane again. Anyways it ...

Ja well no fine the "cops" are pretty quick to lock people up who were obviously in that situation, even if they release them at a later stage due to the "reasonable man" defence.

At least the law in the USA allows you defend yourself and your property. In SA, the criminal has more rights than the man on the street. In the USA for instance if you shoot a robber inside your house, armed or not, you are within your rights. In SA our corrupt and inept bunch has decided that you ...

Re: Two sunbathers killed as plane lands on beach in Portugal

Very sad, I wonder if there were people in the water? Many pilots have sacrificed themselves to avoid crashing into populated areas or causing harm to others, they could have ditched in shallow water.

There was a similar event a while back but I don't remember where.
