Re: Missing Argentine Submarine

I hope they get found and rescued! We don't want a repeat of the Kursk!

From the sounds of things and judging by the picture, the sub shouldn't have put to sea.

Re: GDs Fun Flights - Plett with King Air and Cemair Beech 1900

Border Air was a charter company based at the old Ben Schoeman airport (East London). They also had a schedule license and operated to Umtata.

I know the big chief of Cem Air, he seems to have done quite well for himself, started out with one small plane.

Cessna 208B crash Tanzania 2017-09-15, 11 deceased

Some pictures of the crashed plane in the Daily Mail write-up.

Victims were 2 Americans, 2 Germans, 6 Tanzanians and a Saffer pilot. :rip2:

Any news about who the pilot was?

Read it at the Daily Mail

I seem to remember that Border Air had an Islander in the old days, could this not be the same one?

Re: A little bumpy into Salzburg

Normally one would consider the crosswind component before even attempting such an approach. The flight manual doesn't give a limit per se, but says: [Option - Winglets] The maximum demonstrated takeoff and landing crosswind is 33 knots. So if the crosswind component was greater than this, they shou...

Joe, I hadn't heard of Club Mak so did a Google search - Wow, what a beautiful place

I was there in 1995, was good then. Hopefully better now. Scuba diving, but all you really see are bare rocks, unlike the sea.
