Ja Moertoe, that is a contributing factor. The primary cause was ATC not listening to the readback. It's an issue with many controllers, as soon they've issued a clearance they start doing something else, like making a call to the next sector, or start writing something, and that action takes their ...

All the departures are subject to wherever the perceived threat area may be, based on intel received from the military liason people. You will always therefore get the safest route out. Having said that, we have had instances (twice in 4 years) of rockets crossing the arrival/departure paths without...

The airport is safe, relatively speaking... there are still car bombs and suicide bombers blowing things and people up daily in the city, just don't go there. The hotel is okayish...expensive but it has a pub. It's about 3km from our camp so you can always come over for a dop at our place and we bra...

MT ... I think you will have a problem if the RNP requirement is less than 5 ie, the approach phase, as BRnav is 5 as far as I know. B407, Iraq wants that traffic back, it's a major revenue source. But the bloody yanks are pushing out notams advising against it, all for political gain, no surprise t...
